Anwar’s call to stop project merely for political mileage, says Hishammuddin | The Malaysian Insight

OPPOSITION Leader Anwar Ibrahim’s call for phase six of the littoral combat ship project to be stopped is merely for political mileage, Defence Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said today. In fact, he said, the call was against Pakatan Harapan’s decision to continue the project when the coalition was in power.

“Over 400 vendors are hoping for the project to continue and 90% of them are involved with veterans,” he told reporters after opening the Malaysian Armed Forces polyclinic at Kem Penrissen in Kuching.Yesterday, Anwar suggested that the next phase of the LCS project involving RM571 million be stopped.

He said this was because the money would be better spent to alleviate the cost of living and welfare for low-income groups and armed forces veterans. – Bernama, August 5, 2022.

RM9bil untuk 6 kapal. RM6bil yang sudah dibayar cukup untuk 4 kapal. Jadi biar BNS deliver 4 kapal ini dulu. Lepas itu nak pesan 2 lagi atau tidak bergantung lah kepada mutu dan prestasi kapal-kapal tersebut. Jangan lah bagi kapal yang struktur astetik papan.

Nobody is accountable for such a big project? Strange .. Whoever is responsible must resign and bring to court ..? Sad state..

Hello…Hisham! Money paid but no ship! To stop that project is to save this nation coffers from further plundering of crooks. Anwar’s call is not political mileage but more of saving this nation from broad light crooks!
