Anwar's aide Farhash arrested over brawl

The case of Farhash Wafa Salvador, who was released on police bail, will be referred to the Selangor prosecution office.

PETALING JAYA: Farhash Wafa Salvador, the political secretary to PKR president Anwar Ibrahim, has been arrested by the police.In a statement, Selangor CID chief Fadzil Ahmat said Farhash was arrested when he turned himself in at the Ampang Jaya police station at 10am today.“He was released on police bail at around 5pm. The case will be referred to the Selangor prosecution office.”

Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador had said during the weekend that his men still wanted to take a statement from Farhash over the brawl at a sports complex in Ampang despite the complainant withdrawing his police report against Farhash. The fight involving about a dozen men took place at the Arena All Stars Sports Complex at Taman Dagang Permai. Police arrested five men, aged between 22 and 38, including the complainant, for questioning.

Farhash denied involvement in the incident and said he was willing to give his full cooperation to the police, if needed.
