UPDATED 10.35PM | The emoluments he is rejecting include monthly salary and allowances.

Pakatan Harapan chairperson Anwar Ibrahim is protesting the monetary perks he is receiving after the opposition leader post he holds was elevated to be equal to a minister. In a statement tonight, he said he could not accept the monetary perks and will be donating it to a fund for the poor.

Anwar Ibrahim is a standing joke. MPs elsewhere are getting murdered because they are MPs and this fellow can accept getting appointed as government rep in the opposition. And then now he is pretending.

33.5K is way too much when many are forced to accept the 1.2K wage cap. This is so unfair!
