Anwar leads Kedah Sultan's birthday honours recipients

ALOR SETAR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has led the list of 238 recipients of honours and awards in conjunction with the 82nd Birthday Celebration of the Sultan of Kedah, Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah, on Sunday .

He conferred the Darjah Gemilang Wira Mahkota Kedah Yang Amat Dihormati to Kedah State Financial Officer Datuk Syed Khairol Anuar Syed Abidin; Army Chief General Tan Sri Muhammad Hafizuddeain Jantan; and Health Ministry Director-General, Datuk Dr Muhammad Radzi Abu Hassan. Other recipients of the DSDK included Universiti Utara Malaysia Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan; UUM Holdings Sdn Bhd chairman Mohd Zuhri Abdullah; Medical Director of Abdul Razak Eye Specialist Clinic Dr Abdul Razak KV Koyakutty; and Kedah Pondok Teachers Council chairman Abdullah Lebai Samah.

He also awarded the Setia Diraja Kedah to 13 recipients, including Padang Terap District Officer Azmin Zainol Abidin; Pokok Sena District Officer Mohamad Rizal Mohamad Radzi; Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital Director, Dr Fauziah Abdul Wahab; Higher Education Ministry Secretary, Datin Noorazah Omar; and Kedah State Health Department deputy director Dr Norizan Ahmad.
