Kota Kinabalu: Another new priest, Deacon Bradley Belly @ Stephen was ordained as a priest at Santo Peter Catholic Church, here recently.

It was a historic and meaningful day for all Catholics, especially the people in the Archdiocese of Kota Kinabalu because another young person has willingly given himself for God. This new priest, Fr Bradley is the first Rungus priest from Kudat while, the first Priest from Kudat , is Rev. Fr. Paul Lo who was ordained 18 years ago.

About 2000 people came from various places in Sabah and a total of 46 priests from the Diocese of Kota Kinabalu, Diocese of Keningau, Sandakan and also Kuching were present in the ceremony. Archbishop of Kota Kinabalu, Datuk John Wong in his speech, expressed his gratitude for the courage of Fr. Bradley in responding to God’s call to serve in God’s field.

He also called on the people to continue to pray for this young priest to be able to serve with love. Chairman of the Organiser of the Priesthood Ordination Day, Walter Duhan, thanked all those who attended and helped in terms of money, time, energy and ideas to make this historic ceremony a success.
