The Army confirmed that an armoured"prime mover" broke down on its way back to the Sungai Besi camp on Saturday."The second incident on Aug 27 occurred at 11.26am near the National Museum involving a prime mover that had engine difficulties.
"Mechanics were dispatched to the location to perform repairs and the vehicle was operational at 12.30pm, and made the trip back," the Army said in a statement on Saturday .The statement also confirmed Friday's incident where a PT-91M Pendekar tank suffered engine trouble and broke down on Jalan Damansara here.
It added that the tank had concluded rehearsals for the upcoming National Day parade before suffering an engine failure at 10.30am. "An armoured recovery vehicle was dispatched to tow the tank and it was moved to the National Museum parking lot for repairs," it said.
