Announcement on ex-Sabah PPBMofficial leaders' 'new party' soon, says Hajiji

“Just wait a while longer, we will make an announcement very soon,” he told reporters when asked for an update on the status of the former Bersatu leaders. On Dec 10, Hajiji announced that Sabah Bersatu leaders and their supporters were leaving the party but would remain with GRS.Speculation is rife that the group will be taking over a semi-dormant local party called Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah instead of forming a new party.

The MPs – Armizan Ali , Khairul Firdaus Akhbar Khan , Jonathan Yasin and Matbali Musah – had said earlier that they were leaving Bersatu to form a new party.“Bersatu has sent a notice to the Speaker and on our part, the four MPs have also sent their replies to the Speaker. “I am confident that the Speaker will make the best decision because the four MPs have done everything to ensure they did not go against the anti-hopping law,” Hajiji said.
