Kota Kinabalu: The Anglican Diocese of Sabah will consecrate Canon Kenneth Thien Su Yin as new bishop in a Consecration Service to be held on Nov 5 at All Saints’ Cathedral, Karamunsing, here.
At the Consecration Service, Canon Kenneth will also be appointed to assist Most Rev. Datuk Melter in the episcopal ministration of the Diocese of Sabah. The cathedral is expected to be packed with worshippers from the Diocese of Sabah, with every Anglican parish in the diocese to be represented. Priests and laity from all major towns in Sabah, from the villages of Pitas to Sipitang, Nangoh to Penangah, Kunak to Nabawan as well as the mission fields of Thailand and East Kalimantan will be present.
In 1996, he obtained his LLB from University Wolverhampton, UK. After working with a local law firm for a while, he set up his own. He is currently its senior partner, associate and consultant.
