Johor police chief Comm Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said that the Johor Baru South police headquarters issued the most compounds with a total of 702, followed by Segamat with 677 as of Tuesday . "Earlier, during checks at roadblocks in the Tangkak district, we detected individuals who attempted to cross the border to enter Melaka using police permits issued for earlier dates," he said, adding that action had been taken against them.
"We started checking at roadblocks since 10.30am this morning, focussing on those at state borders in Segamat and Tangkak.
