At 5pm yesterday, the AirAsia stock closed 3.5 sen higher to 86 sen with 175 million shares traded, making it the seventh most-actively traded stock of the day.Group Bhd ended higher on news that it is in talks to sell a 10% stake to South Korea’s SK Corp.

At 5pm yesterday, the stock closed 3.5 sen higher to 86 sen with 175 million shares traded, making it the seventh most-actively traded stock of the day. It was reported that AirAsia would be selling 10% of its shares to SK Corp, South Korea’s third largest conglomerate, at RM1 a share via a private placement.

Should the deal materialises, AirAsia will raise an estimated RM334.2mil from the placement of new shares.
