Ahmad Razif, 58, memenangi kerusi tersebut selepas menewas penyandangnya, Apli Yusoff selepas mendapat 479 undi. Sementara itu, Apli yang merupakan Bekas Pengerusi Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional memegang jawatan itu pada pemilihan 2018 lalu pula memperoleh 349 undi. Ahmad Razif yang dilantik sebagai Menteri Besar Terengganu pada tahun 2014 hingga 2018 pernah dipilih sebagai Ketua UMNO Bahagian itu dari tahun 2013 hingga 2018.
Dalam pada itu, bekas Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri Teluk Pasu, Datuk Rahim Md. Said pula memenangi jawatan Timbalan Ketua Bahagian selepas mengumpul 376 undi menewaskan Mustafa ismail dan Ir. Mohd. Yasin Abdul Ghani . – UTUSAN
