KUALA LUMPUR, April 26 ― Public approval for the new Pakatan Harapan government is now just 39 per cent, according to independent pollster Merdeka Center. The poll also put Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s personal popularity at 46 per cent, indicating his influence that continues to outstrip that of the coalition.
“This was a marked decline compared to the 71 per cent recorded in August 2018,” Merdeka Center said of the coalition’s rating. “The decline in public support for the administration can also be seen in the number of voters who felt the ‘country was headed in the wrong direction’, which increased from 24 per cent in August 2018 to 46 per cent in March 2019.”
The only way is up
it is impossible to rebuild the country that has been damaged by najib in 1 year...get real!
RaymondRahman PH was never a better alternative, it was the only one option to get rid of Najib. They must stop dreaming that ppl voted them because they are good. The important factor for the swing was Dr M. Now his popularity is going down, the vote might swing back in the next election.
Who cares. It’s not a 1 year election cycle. Judge them in 4 more years. If u want the thieves to come back in at that time. Then vote for them. This approval rating is being pushed hard by BN media n various surveys because they r DESPERATE to not get to next GE. They will lose
Honeymoon period is certainly over.
Says who? Malaymail? I stopped reading malaymail since forever!!! Bn umno news!! 🙄
Who was surveyed? Naturally racists will not approve of PH gov. Crooks who swindled money previously will not approve of PH gov. Little Napoleons who have lost their power will not approve of PH gov.
Who cares about the 61%? They can go and fly kites. Think highly of themselves as if they can do the job better. They can’t even fix their own problems.
Khairykj Remove those Ministers that rakyat don't even know they're ministers.
Khairykj Just like Azmin once said “ Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha”
Khairykj So pilih apa? UMNO? Pas ?
Khairykj Harapan musnah... hope PH will rectify fast to bring back rakyat trust as in GE14. Dont be arrogant, acknowledge the fact that majority of rakyat has started losing trust on PH.
Khairykj 39% still sounds too high
Khairykj What? Slightly higher than najip...
Khairykj Progress takes time. Kitchen sinking exercise had to be done. As long don’t steal and lie. It’s not halal. 😂😂😂
Let's put it this Way , Can We Do A Balancing between - 60 years vs 12 months . Just Give The New Government More Time. The Result May be Slow but it certainly going to Show Improvement. THANKS
They have to walk a fine delicate balance, esp not to upset majority support
Khairykj PHuckatan went for the wrong priority..ecerd, rom statut. Now they r having a party in China who hunt down muslim uighur. So..what rom statut are PHuckatan talking about.
Khairykj Copy paste job, u turns, rebranding exercise, unqualified ministers, emotional PM, malay issues, ruler's rights issue, broken pledges, economic woes etc. Too many.
Why is Malay Mail lying? PH is the best government ever!
Okay, so the new govt isn't perfect. Still better than the previous bunch who did plenty for themselves! Get on with the job - there is so much more to do in the remaining years. Time is slipping away fast!
And if they keep the some of the dimwits they appointed as cabinet members, the rating ain't gonna go anywhere but down
Progress like telling you guys the election manifesto is not the bible? Stop deceiving yourself on the imaginary progress
No matter, they’re still doing a heck of a better job than the previous govt! Not perfect, but a lot of progress .
