YANG di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah menyeru semua calon dan penyokong parti politik supaya mengamalkan pendekatan berhemah sepanjang tempoh berkempen Pilihan Raya Umum ke-15 , bermula dari hari penamaan calon pada 5 November. Datuk Pengelola Bijaya Diraja Istana Negara Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin berkata Seri Paduka turut menasihatkan calon agar bertanding secara sihat dengan mengelakkan kempen menyerang dan akur dengan garis panduan undang-undang serta peraturan yang telah ditetapkan oleh pihak berkuasa, khususnya Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya dan Polis Diraja Malaysia sepanjang tempoh tersebut hingga hari mengundi pada 19 November.
