Individuals 'wanting to be popular' are hurling various accusations to create a negative perception of the force, he says.

Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador regards the act of hurling various accusations at the police, to an extent that it has created a negative perception of the force, as that by individuals who want to be “popular”.

He said claims, such as the police are cruel for imposing stern action, including hefty compound, is inappropriate as every action by the police is in accordance with the Emergency Ordinance 2021 in an effort to break the chain on the Covid-19 infection...

How about accusing the police of practicing double standards?

Unfair or not... That's the voice came out from Rakyat... Rakyat got fine on the spot if failed SOP, Minister, 1st got to wait for someone to lodged report, follow by investigation, then no news. Why there is an accusations, you tell Rakyat!

Withdrawals today !!! I really appreciate all you've done for me, you are the best and I promise to spread your good work Thank you Clarkson244

Dunno to ROTFL or SMH 🤷🏽‍♂️ Policing has descended to new depths n stmt like this don't help. Just do your job fairly n responsibly, that's all ppl expect. Pandering to politicians n creating perceptions of double std isn't in your job scope.

If it's n0t cru3l then it's p0ndan , 0nly dare t0 bully rakyat but n0t the politisyen

We want total free speech. Then you'd know what we REALLY think.

No one say cruel, unjust or double-standard is the word

If police were fair, then no accusation, no?

Where are the Tan Sri and Dato Seri drug lords, you just say but until today no action being taken. PDRM is useless when dealing with VIP's, only cruel and unfair to the rakyat.

PDRMsia is right. They have no choice but to follow the prescription of the Emergency laws approved by the Cabinet.

Isn't it also unfair that many VIPs apparently have immunity to law enforcement for openly flouting SOP? Just a hypothetical question, not fake news ya.

They are the enforcement of the laws n all citizens should abide them.

I mean when you have power like the police, there is a tendency to abuse it. If you want to be treated 'fair', treat people fair. Having a badge doesn't immediately mean you're respected. You earn respect from people by showing true work and not just lip service.

Stop playing victim went your are evil.

Fining a Form 5 student RM10K is not considered cruel? Fining a restaurant patron RM10K for supposedly not registering in MySejahtera is not considered cruel?

Stop complaining Hamid Bador. It's called collective guilt. There are Malaysians finding it difficult to eat 2 times a day and you fellows are putting 10,000 ringgit fines for something that is not even a crime. Why are you so cruel Hamid Bador?
