Gabungan Parti Sarawak chairperson Abang Johari Openg has lauded Bersatu’s decision not to contest in the Sarawak state election, saying the latter is showing a positive spirit as a fellow partner in the federal government.
He said it is also proof that Bersatu truly understands the political situation in Sarawak where only state-based parties can appreciate and meet the needs of the people.

This is not democracy ! Constitution allows anyone to contest in an election. A sitting KM cannot say - don't contest in Sarawak !
As Bersatu don't have choice but have to obey instructions from Abang Johari
A lot of Sarawak voters haven't heard of Bersatu anyway.. by contesting, all of them might even lost their deposits.
