Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir said the Prime Minister, who will arrive here today, is expected to attend at least 11 meetings with heads of government and leaders of world bodies, including US Vice-President Kamala Harris, Chinese Premier Li Qiang, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
“The Prime Minister has expressed his intentions to make full use of his time to enhance ties between Malaysia and other countries. Zambry said Anwar is also expected to meet with the Malaysian diaspora, youths and a group of social media influencers here during his visit. “We will not be bringing up only one issue. This summit is a platform for relationships, which we view in a wider context.
It was reported that Malaysia will issue a protest note to China over its maritime claims in the “China Standard Map Edition 2023”.China’s Natural Resources Ministry issued the “China Standard Map Edition 2023”, which also covers the exclusive economic zone maritime areas of Malaysia near Sabah and Sarawak, Brunei, the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam, as well as several areas in India.
