9,000 strong sanitisation ops deployed ahead of reopening of over 700 childcare centres in S'wak

This is a big increase from the 6,733-strong personnel on May 6 who were involved in these sanitisation ops.

This is to ensure these centres are cleansed before their reopening next week on June 9 throughout this vast state. The latest figures from the department on the sanitisation ops revealed that 9,006 personnel are on the ground now.Out of the 9,006 personnel involved, Bomba stations contributed manpower of 5,186.The rest of the manpower are from the Health Ministry, Civil Defence Unit, Rela, army, police, district offices and voluntary groups that are trained to handle sanitisation procedures.

The authorities concerned must ensure that the chemicals used in preparing the liquid for sanitisation are 100% safe for human, esp children. Remember the deadly lesson of using DDT that was initially declared safe in the 1960s but later found to be carcinogenic?
