89 new Covid-19 deaths reported

All 89 Covid deaths reported yesterday are backlog cases, the Health Ministry says. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, October 16, 2021.

MALAYSIA recorded 89 deaths as of midnight, all of which were backlog cases, meaning no deaths occurred yesterday, the Health Ministry reported. Data from the ministry’s Git.hub raw data repository showed that 19 of the fatalities were classified as dead on arrival.
