Satu video strim yang disiarkan laman berita Beijing yang disokong kerajaan menunjukkan pekerja penyelamat dalam pakaian berwarna oren memanjat sisa runtuhan dan membawa mangsa ke ambulans yang berkumpul di sekitar tapak tersebut.Ia runtuh kira-kira jam 7.30 malam dan 34 orang diselamatkan 2 jam kemudian, kata perbandaran Quanzhou di laman webnya.
