Seberang Prai Utara district police chief ACP Noorzainy Mohd Noor said the 64-year-old had only realised he had made a mistake after driving nearly 50km before turning around and driving against the current on the highway.
“However, he was in a state of intoxication and mistakenly crossed the Penang Bridge, ” ACP Noorzainy said here on Tuesday. The action of the man was noticed by highway users who contacted the Traffic Enforcement Investigation Division’s Complaints Service Counter at the SPU district police headquarters.
