5G testbed, trials report ready by 4th quarter, says Gobind

Communications and Multimedia Minister Gobind Singh Deo says the National Fiberisation and Connectivity Plan under MCMC has also targeted to set up gigabit-speed Internet services for selected high-impact and strategic industrial areas by 2020 and all state capitals by 2023. – The Malaysian Insight pic by Seth Akmal, March 12, 2019.

A REPORT on the 5G testbed and trials is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of this year, said Communications and Multimedia Minister Gobind Singh Deo today. He said the outcome of the trials, to be coordinated by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission from April to October this year, would be shared with the multi-stakeholder 5G Task Force which, among others, will be responsible for preparing the report.
