GSMA says the propensity to innovate is reduced in a single wholesale network environment where no infrastructure competition exists. It's more important to focus on 5G innovation rather than population coverage.

With over a year of 5G rollout with sizeable 5G population coverage in Klang Valley, 5G adoption remains low among enterprises in Malaysia. When we asked Gorman for his take, he said there has been a period of uncertainty in Malaysia’s political and 5G landscape. While large enterprises have more capabilities to deal with uncertainties, small and medium enterprises can’t afford to fail and they want to have certainty about the technology available, so there’s a bit of a standoff.

and it would delay and increase the cost of 5G deployment in the country. When we asked Gorman about potential cost concerns if there are two 5G networks, he said several studies show that a good network infrastructure sharing framework will enable operators to share infrastructure which will result in similar cost efficiencies as SWN.

Because I don't have money to buy a new phone that support 5G

have the telco reduce it’s 5G packages✌🏻

Simple. Not all area in Malaysia is covered in 5G

It's properly because within the present circumstances, we are contented as we are. Is that wrong?

Not all looking to upgrade phone now. Most will look to upgrade their dining table food.

Philipines and Indonesia 5G is FDD using Dynamic Spectrum Sharing with existing 4G frequency, I dont recall there are separate plan for it. MNO used it to monitor UE capability to deploy 5G TDD later on.

Celcom switch me to 5G something something package. Still I haven't seen the 5G appear at all.

Due to many devices not supporting 5G. Hence require additional cost to purchase new phone. plus, doubt about the 5G coverage. Since 3G sunset initiatives kicked off…4G coverage are not to the par… so pll tend to “wait & see” first

Errr because that 5G is so unstable that my phone keeps going back to 4G like most of the time.

Cause u guys charge extra for 5g

Drain battery life with no tangible benefits for mobile.

Malas nak drain battery and my 4G is fine

Huawei lobbying so hard
