DEForum 'Tough situations require bold solutions and nothing beats the court process when political will is lacking.' - Law student

I’m referring to the comments following the revelation that there are now more than half a million new voters since the last Sabah State election in 2018, which was arguably snatched away from hands of one duly appointed Chief Minister, despite the State Constitution being clear that while a CM may be appointed, he cannot be removed unless subjected to a no-confidence vote in the State Assembly.

Another said the fake Malaysians among the half million who are Project IC holders should be arrested if they come out to vote. It may be because now they have valid documents. Regardless of how they obtained them, the fact remains that they are not Malaysians but were made use of by politicians of the day as a vote bank to stay in power.

How’s that for the dragon’s tail purportedly unleashed during the administration of former PM Mahathir now swinging back. All it takes is to ask the court to establish if it is true that he obtained his Mykad by lying through his teeth and to sue the Government, the National Registration Department and the Election Commission.
