Ketua Polis Perak, Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid berkata, jumlah yang direkodkan Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Narkotik Perak itu bagaimanapun menunjukkan penurunan 11.8 peratus berbanding 639 kes pada 2020.
“Berlaku peningkatan jumlah rampasan pada tahun ini apabila merekodkan 13,819 kilogram daum ketum yang dirampas berbanding tahun lalu sebanyak 11,143kg. Peningkatan sebanyak 24 peratus itu disumbangkan hasil rampasan dalam operasi di daerah Gerik, Hilir Perak, Ipoh, Kuala Kangsar dan Perak Tengah,” katanya ketika dihubungi di sini hari ini.
“Selain itu, rekod oleh JSJN juga menunjukkan hampir tiada masalah penyalahgunaan air ketum oleh pelajar di negeri ini. Misalnya hanya satu kes direkodkan pada 2020 manakala tiada tangkapan melibatkan pelajar sekolah tahun lalu,” katanya.
