509 kes buang bayi dilaporkan sejak 2018 hingga Februari lepas

: Sebanyak 509 kes pembuangan bayi dilaporkan berlaku dalam tempoh 2018 hingga Februari lepas, kata Menteri Pembangunan Wanita, Keluarga dan Masyarakat Datuk Seri Nancy ShukriBeliau berkata tiga negeri mencatatkan jumlah kes kumulatif tertinggi dalam tempoh berkenaan iaitu Selangor dengan 111 kes, diikuti Johor dan Sabah .

“Kesemua pertuduhan adalah bagi kes yang suspek atau pelakunya berjaya dikesan, manakala selebihnya suspek atau pelaku masih tidak dapat dikesan,“ katanya sebagai respons kepada ucapan Young Syefura Othman berhubung kes pembuangan bayi pada sesi Kamar Khas Dewan Rakyat hari ini. Sementara itu, beliau berkata bagi tempoh 2022 hingga 2023, Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat telah menyelamatkan 101 kanak-kanak yang diklasifikasikan sebagai kanak-kanak dibuang ibu atau bapa atau penjaga.
