Pengerusi Majlis Penasihat Kerajaan, Daim Zainuddin berkata, terserah kepada kerajaan sama ada mahu mendedahkan laporan majlis itu.
Kumpulan masyarakat sivil itu mendesak Putrajaya supaya tidak melanggar janji yang dibuatnya, dengan berkata, tindakan meletakkan laporan CEP di bawah OSA bermakna kerajaan mahu menyembunyikan sesuatu, sekali gus mengelak tanggungjawab. NGO berkenaan, yang mengingatkan PH bahawa “pembaharuan” merupakan “batu asas” yang membawa kepada pilihan raya umum lepas berkata, OSA adalah undang-undang represif yang perlu dikaji semula.
“Ia telah digunakan untuk mengklasifikasikan pelbagai jenis dokumen sebagai rahsia, termasuk perjanjian konsesi lebuh raya dan air, minit mesyuarat dewan bandaraya dan indeks pencemaran udara,” kata kenyataan itu lagi.Kumpulan itu juga mahu laporan Jawatankuasa Reformasi Institusi dan enakmen Akta Kebebasan Maklumat didedahkan kepada umum.
