Four secretaries-general were transferred to other ministries while one will become director-general of the federal territories department.

Zuki Ali, the chief secretary to the government, said the appointments would take effect tomorrow.

The civil service reshuffle was announced in a short statement by Chief Secretary to the Government Zuki Ali. A secretary-general is the most senior civil servant in a ministry and is the professional head of the ministry, answering to the minister.
