43 confirmed measles cases among Orang Asli patients

Health Minister Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad says the cause of death for the Orang Asli must be objectively determined by tests and have empirical value. – The Malaysian Insight pic by Nazir Sufari, June 20, 2019.

A TOTAL of 43 out of 113 cases involving the Orang Asli from the Bateq tribe in Kg Kuala Koh, Gua Musang have been confirmed as measles, Health Minister Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad said. As of Tuesday, of the 113 patients, 53 were still being treated in hospitals, of which 51 were in regular wards and the other two are in the intensive care unit.
