Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd director and operations head Abas Abdullah said that the Sungai Selangor Phase 3 Water Treatment Plant will be temporarily shut down beginning 9am on July 14.
“The critical asset replacement and improvement works of the SSP3 WTP will enable the plant to operate more efficiently and ensure that all equipment is in good working condition, ” he said.He added that the duration of the disruption will vary throughout the affected areas and will depend on the location of the customers’ premises, and he advised the public to check if their areas are affected.
“The mobilisation to other premises will commence on July 16. We therefore urge customers in the affected area to store some water prior to the commencement of the scheduled water disruption and consume water prudently during this period, ” he said.
