THE number of new Covid-19 deaths dropped to 40 yesterday while daily infection figures declined to 24,466 from the previous day’s 27,299. Of the 40 deaths, 17 were classified as dead on arrival. The death toll now stands at 32,674 while the total number of infections since the start of the epidemic is now at 3.4 million.
