Chief Minister Hajiji Noor says over 300,000 people will receive a one-off assistance of RM300.
KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah government will implement the Bantuan Prihatin Covid-19 2.0 programme to help Sabahans affected by the movement control order . Chief Minister Hajiji Noor said the RM128.98 million allocated under the programme will be divided into two. The first involves a Sabah government allocation of RM97.4 million to be given to 324,661 people in the state.He added that those who will receive the payment are from the B40 group, e-Kasih beneficiaries, orphans, senior citizens, single mothers, farmers, disabled people, tourist guides, taxi drivers and hawkers, among others.
Hajiji said the remaining RM31.58 million, which comes under the National Disaster Management Agency, will be for the provision of food baskets for people affected by quarantine orders at their homes or localities placed under enhanced MCO.
