OUAGADOUGOU: Seramai 30 orang termasuk 15 anggota tentera maut dalam serangan militan di beberapa perkampungan di utara Burkina Faso.Menurut kenyataan itu, perkampungan berhampiran sempadan dengan Niger menjadi sasaran serangan kumpulan militan bersenjata pada Rabu lalu sehingga mengakibatkan 11 orang awam terkorban.
Selain itu, haiwan ternakan termasuk lembu dicuri serta beberapa bangunan dan kediaman penduduk turut dibakar.“Namun, 15 tentera dan empat anggota pasukan simpanan terbunuh manakala lebih 10 militan berjaya ditumpaskan,” jelas kenyataan itu.Kementerian Pertahanan memberi jaminan kawasan yang mana serangan berlaku kini di bawah kawalan tentera.
Malah, jelasnya, serangan balas menerusi udara dan darat terhadap anggota militan sedang dilaksanakan. – AFP
