Menurut Mohamad Fakhrudin, siasatan awal mendapati kereta jenis Honda City Hatchback yang dipandu seorang lelaki berusia 26 tahun dari arah ibu kota ke Cyberjaya hilang kawalan dan merempuh mangsa yang sedang berteduh.
