PETALING JAYA: The health ministry has reported 3,973 Covid-19 cases and 22 deaths in the past 24 hours.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 2,848 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 408,236.There are 38,499 active cases with 453 patients being treated in intensive care and 224 needing respiratory assistance.The new cases today involved 3,968 local infections, comprising 3,540 Malaysians and 428 foreigners, and five imported cases.
All 22 who died today were Malaysians aged between 31 and 87. All but one had existing medical conditions.for breaking news and the latest announcements.
