POLICE have opened more than 3,000 investigation papers related to the issues of 3R on social media between 2020 and August this year, says Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail , who asked the ministry to reveal the latest statistics and cases regarding the remarks that are deemed racially divisive made by political and community leaders.

According to the Home Minister, from the total number of cases, 306 IP were related to royal institutions, 127 involved racial issues, while 241 were related to religion. “Some 442 IP were related to the administration of justice, while the remaining 1,979 had touched on other matters,” added Saifuddin Nasution.

The police have previously denied claims that it is practising selective investigation over 3R cases.
