25 sekolah terjejas banjir di Sabah

Pengarah Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Sabah Dr Mistrine Radin berkata, sekolah terbabit terletak di tujuh daerah membabitkan Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Papar, Sipitang, Kota Belud, Tuaran dan Beaufort.

Katanya, di Penampang, antara sekolah terbabit ialah Sekolah Menengah St Michael, Sekolah Kebangsaan Sugud, SK Kibabang, SK St Theresa manakala di Papar ialah SK Daingin, SK Kambizaan, SK Gana, SK Pekan Kinarut, Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Kin Kiau Kinarut, SJKC Cheng Ming dan SK Kelatuan. Menurutnya, di Kota Belud pula, sekolah yang ditutup adalah Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Taun Gusi, SMK Taun Gusi 2, SMK Pekan, SMKA Tun Said, SK Sembirai, SK Kesapang manakala di Beaufort membabitkan SK Bukau, SK Ladang Lumadan, SK Sinoko dan SK Klias Baru.

"Di Kota Kinabalu pula SK Rampayan, di Sipitang membabitkan SK Long Pasia manakala di Tuaran pula SK Bundung dan SK Tinambak."Biasanya kami akan menutup sekolah sehingga banjir berhenti dan sekolah selamat untuk dimasuki," katanya."Kita mempunyai syarikat pembersihan kawasan untuk melakukan pembersihan tetapi guru juga akan turut melakukan gotong-royong," katanya.

Menurutnya, sekolah rendah masih belum beroperasi tetapi dalam persediaan untuk pembukaan pra-sekolah bermula 1 Julai ini.
