Pengarah Pendidikan negeri, Datuk Abu Bakar Sahari berkata, kesemua 23 calon tersebut adalah antara 1,171 calon yang menduduki peperiksaan itu di 23 buah pusat peperiksaan di seluruh negeri pada tahun 2018.
Menurutnya, sebanyak 1,160 atau 99.06 peratus calon telah lulus penuh berbanding 1,290 calon pada tahun 2017 iaitu penurunan sebanyak 0.02 peratus namun tetap melepasi peringkat nasional iaitu 98.87 peratus. “Walaupun peratusan yang lulus penuh mencatatkan penurunan namun Gred Purata Negeri mencatatkan peningkatan sebanyak 0.12 mata iaitu 2.89 pada tahun 2018 iaitu 4.33 peratus berbanding 2.77 pada tahun 2017.
“Tahun 2018 juga mencatatkan seramai 564 calon iaitu 48.16 peratus memperoleh PNGK 3.00 dan ke atas berbanding 547 calon iaitu 42.01 peratus pada tahun 2017,” katanya dalam sidang akhbar selepas mengumumkan keputusan STPM negeri di Jabatan Pendidikan negeri di sini sebentar tadi. - UTUSAN ONLINE
