Persatuan Cakna Rasa Sayang patron Zulkifli Muhamed said the programme was organised as a gesture of goodwill during the durian season.
"It is durian season now and I am sure the students would like to eat the fruit but kept it in their hearts," he said according to Sinar Harian. Zulkifli said the organisation was a non-governmental organisation and as it was merely a fellowship as not all can afford durians.Madrasah head Mohammad Farhan Md Khair, 33 said this was the first time the school received durian contribution from outsiders.
"We are grateful for the contribution as there are 70 students here between the ages of 13 to 17 and a number of them were orphans. "Although all would like to eat durians, whatever contribution we get is used for the primary needs of the students," added Mohammad Farhan.
