150 ambil bahagian program indahkan Taman Tasik Beaufort

Program itu dianjurkan oleh Kementerian Kerajaan Tempatan dan Perumahan Negeri, dengan kerjasama Majlis Daerah Beaufort, sebagai sebahagian daripada inisiatif Rakan Lestari mereka.Pegawai Eksekutif Majlis, Mohd Ainol bin Mohd Dun, menjelaskan inisiatif itu bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesedaran dalam kalangan komuniti tempatan supaya lebih ke arah kehijauan dan mengurangkan jejak karbon mereka.

“Majlis Daerah berhasrat untuk memenuhi kawasan awam seperti taman dengan lebih banyak pokok ini kerana limau manis adalah identiti Beaufort.”Katanya, usaha pembersihan komuniti juga dijalankan di Taman Tasik, dengan aktiviti larian kutip dijalankan di sekitar taman. “Kemudahan, termasuk tempat duduk, di dalam kawasan rekreasi awam ini turut diberi lapisan cat baharu.”Peserta-peserta tahun ini terdiri daripada Majlis Daerah, SM Gadong, rukun tetangga pekan Beaufort, rukun tetangga Taman Sri Panglima, dan jawatankuasa pembangunan bandar untuk Taman Wawasan, Taman Bersatu, Weston, Membakut, St John, dan Beaufort Selatan.* Follow us on Instagram and join our Telegram and/or WhatsApp channel for the latest news you don't want to miss.
