Kota Kinabalu: Fifteen Sabah PKR division chiefs have unanimously called for Datuk Sangkar Rasam to step down from the party’s state chairman position.
The PKR Kota Marudu division chief, Sazalye Donol, speaking as the group’s spokesperson, said that since appointed in 2022, Sangkar had done nothing to strengthen the party.“He had only organised feasts for visiting central leaders. Every time there were meetings, nothing was achieved and our direction as a party remained unclear,” he told a press conference today.
Sazalye said the 15 chiefs' statutory declarations had been submitted to PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s political secretary, Datuk Azman Abidin.
