SIBU: Fifteen people, including five women, were arrested for violating the recovery movement control order (MCO), for patronising a pub on Jalan Pahlawan here on Monday (June 15).

The youngest, a 15-year-old girl, is a Form Three student.

During a raid on the pub at 6.53pm, the suspects were heavily engrossed in a drinking session, said Supt Collin.He said they were arrested for violating Section 3 of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases 2020 for assembling for social purpose at an entertainment centre."An investigation paper has also been opened on the 13 suspects who were positive for drugs under Section 15 of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952," he said.
