KUBANG PASU: Kesanggupan 11 pendatang asing tanpa izin warga Myanmar berhimpit dalam sebuah kereta untuk masuk ke negara ini berakhir sia-sia apabila mereka ditahan di Kilometer 33, Lebuhraya Utara Selatan arah Selatan di Jitra, dekat sini pagi ini.
Menurutnya, tekong tersebut bertindak sebagai pemandu kereta jenis Proton Wira yang dipinjamnya daripada seorang lelaki tempatan di Butterworth, Pulau Pinang. “Selepas melepasi sempadan Malaysia di Bukit Kayu Hitam, dua ejen berkenaan berpatah balik ke Thailand manakala 11 PATI tersebut diambil oleh tekong berkenaan untuk dihantar ke Butterworth.
Difahamkan kesemua PATI tersebut membayar sebanyak kira-kira RM3,000 kepada seorang lelaki warganegara Myanmar di negara itu yang bertindak sebagai ejen bagi memasuki negara ini.
