KUALA LUMPUR: Eleven foreigners were among 21 individuals caught in a party at a condominium unit on Jalan Klang Lama, yesterday.

Brickfields police chief Zairulnizam Mohd Zainuddin said 11 men and 10 women, aged between 20 and 39, including a local man believed to be the party’s organiser, were detained at 1.30 am. He said the foreigners comprise three men and a woman from Bangladesh; a couple from Brazil; a Syrian; one Libyan, a Filipina, an Egyptian woman, and a woman from Zimbabwe.Zairulnizam said: “Those who attended the party were invited via WhatsApp and no charges were imposed. Nine of those detained tested positive for drugs.” Those who tested positive for drugs were remanded for three days from yesterday.

All the Malaysians were issued with a RM1,000 compound notice each for violating the movement control order.
