Pengarah Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Sabah , Dr Mistrine Radin berkata, antara prasekolah yang terbabit adalah prasekolah jenis sekolah kerajaan , Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina dan prasekolah swasta yang berdaftar dengan Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia .
Mistrine berkata, ada beberapa prasekolah yang masih belum beroperasi di beberapa daerah yang terjejas dengan banjir baru-baru ini. Menurutnya, antara sembila buah prasekolah yang terjejas di Papar adalah SK Kaiduan, SK Belatik, SK Gana, SK Kambizaan, SK Kelatuan, SK Kimanis, SK Sumbiling, SK Tampasak dan SK Daingin.
