Woman shares her top grocery tips after saving hundreds of euros per month

A home cook has shared some top grocery tips that have helped her shave off hundreds from her monthly food shop bill.

Due to this, she has been able to stretch out her shopping over a whole month, instead of handing out tonnes for weekly shops, saving up to €234 over the month.Alia uses her Instagram page Cookaliacarte to share her delicious recipes, making mouth-watering meals from scratch for her and her husband. "Planning meals, buying in bulk, reusing leftovers and checking cupboards to stop overbuying have helped me to slash my grocery shopping costs. Now, I can make delicious meals like Big Mac tacos and Piri Piri Chicken and Sweet Potato Salad Bowls for under €2.54.

Alia is keen to help share her budgeting tips with other people to help reduce shopping costs and cope with the rising cost of living. Among her other money-saving hacks are investing in versatile ingredients, freezing, making one-pot meals and cooking seasonally.
