Leo Varadkar told the Dail that the next two weeks will be very dangerous for our healthcare system, but that the Government hopes admission numbers will begin to drop soon.
Responding to questions from Sinn Fein's Pearse Doherty, he said: "The situation in our hospitals remains very precarious and unfortunately continues to deteriorate. "What we need to do is decrease the number of people getting Covid and going into hospital, and that's the best way that we can turn the corner on the current situation."
