Tributes paid to talented young hurler, 18, killed in tragic crash

Tributes have been paid to a talented young hurler who tragically died in a car crash in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Local councillor Patrick O'Gorman described John as a "lovely fella" and said the community has been left in a state of shock. A spokesperson said: "This morning, we learned of the tragic passing of one of our young players, John Daly. A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information, particularly and road users who travelled in the area who may have dash cam footage, to contact Henry Street Garda Station on 061 212 400 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111. "
