Tributes paid to Cork woman who died on charity hike in Scotland

Tributes have been paid to a Cork woman who tragically died after collapsing on a charity hike in Scotland on Saturday.

Emergency services including medical teams, paramedics, Mountain Rescue and the Coastguard rushed to the incident, but were unable to save her.A fundraiser has been set up to help 'bring her home'. Laura was reportedly taking part in the annual 13-mile Great Wilderness Challenge event near Loch Ewe when she collapsed. The challenge was a charity hike for several organisations specialising in mental health, youth services and and senior citizen care.
