A Mayo doctor has shared why she emigrated to Australia - and doesn’t see herself moving home any time soon.
“You do get used to it, and you definitely rely on the fact that all of your prescriptions are going to be double-checked. We had very experienced nurses on our ward who would catch things if you did make mistakes. “They spend hundreds of thousands of euro on their education here, they have a high-class education…And we just say ‘No jobs, sorry.’ “I’m still surprised every time when I order a scan here and it just gets done! There’s no fighting for things.
