Tesco issues urgent alert over 'unsafe' breadsticks sold across Ireland

The notice is in place for the 120g Tesco Mini Breadsticks 6 pack.This could pose a risk to customers who are allergic or intolerant to sesame.

The batch codes affected by the notice are U3032; U3033; U3041; U3042; U3043; U3051; U3052 and U3053.A FSAI spokesman said: "Due to a manufacturing error, there is a possibility that some packs of Tesco Mini Breadsticks 6 Pack may have been packed with a sesame coating that is not declared on the list of ingredients.It comes after Dunnes Stores was forced to recall a popular yoghurt after it was sold when almost four months past its sell by date.
